Lunar Chronicles Book Jacket

Marissa Meyers is an amazing author and her stories where what got me to love books. And though her books have been out since 2012, there are only two cover options - the original and the 10 year anniversary. And these two covers are so different, one focused on the grim brothers connection, while the other focuses on how the character looks and the environment.

But what does this say about the character? Almost nothing in my opinion, other then "this is how they look" and "this is how they relate to your childhood". All good but the best part of these stories is the strong female leads who are each different in race, characteristics, culture - so strong each could have their own story and never meet with the other and it would be just as strong.

So to highlight on these characters, I decided to redesign the book covers images with something that says more about the character then the official ones before hand, but also redesigned the type to fit more of the theme of the Lunar Chronical - magical yet strong and feminine
